How to migrate HSDL templates from one environment to another environment using FSM/Configuration Package

Migrating HSDL templates using FSM has 3 parts.
      1>    Create an Implementation Project.
      2>    Create Configuration Package using the same Implementation Project.
      3>    Migrate the Configuration Package in the target environment.

Part 1:
Step 1: In the source environment navigate to 
Setup and maintenance à Tasks àManage Implementation Projects

Step 2: Now click on the below “+” button and create an Implementation Project.
Put the details as per screen shot 3 and click on the “Save and Open Project” button

Step 3: Now click on the below “+” button. A popup window will open.
From the dropdown select the option “Tasks” and search for the task “Manage Spreadsheet Templates”. Select the task and click on Done as per below Screen shot 5

Step 4: Once the task is added in the Implementation Project, please click on the Done button in the Implementation Project creation screen (Screen shot 4). Then it will navigate again to the main Implementation Project Page. Please click on the Done button in the Implementation Project Main Page (Screen shot 2).





Part 2:

Step 5: Navigate to Setup and Maintenance à Tasks à Manage Configuration Packages

Step 6: Click on the “+” button as below and create a new Configuration Package.

Step 7: In the create Configuration Package page, select the Implementation Project name from the dropdown as below and click on OK if any warnings appears. Then click Next.

Step 8: In the create Configuration “Select Objects for Export” page, click on the “+” button as below to select the HSDL template name which we want to migrate to the target environment.
Put the name of the HSDL template in the Name field as per Screen shot 10. Click on the search button. Once you get the HSDL template, select the template and click on Save and Close button. Then Click on Next.

Step 9: Click on the Submit button.

Step 10: Once the Configuration Package creation process is submitted, please check the status in the Export and Import Processes section. Click on the refresh button several times and check if the status of the process changes to “Completed Successfully”.

Step 11: Once the process is completed successfully, please click on the “Download” button as below and Download the Configuration Package. Please check Screen shot 13.

Part 3:

Step 12: Now login to target environment and navigate to Setup and Maintenance à Tasks à Manage Configuration Packages

Step 13: In the target environment, Manage Configuration Packages page, click on the upload button and upload the Configuration Package which has been downloaded from source system.
Once the Configuration Package has been uploaded, please click on the Submit button.
Then check in the Export and Import Processes section whether the upload has been completed successfully or not.

Step 14: Once the upload has been completed successfully, please click on the Import Setup Data button as per Screen shot 17.



Step 15: In the Import Setup Data details page, please click on Next. Then Click on Next again in the Select Pauses for External Import page. At last in the Schedule and Notifications page click on the Submit button.

Step 16: Now in the Export and Import Processes section please click on the refresh button several times and check whether the process gets completed successfully or not.

Step 17: Now in the target environment navigate to

Home à My Clients Group à Data Exchange à Spreadsheet Templates and search for the template which we were trying to migrate.
